GotFrag breaks down the setups for Sk and WNMF in their Upper Bracket Quarter Final match in the SK Battlegroup 9 Tournament.

GotFrag - Here, we are presented with a glimpse as to how one of the most popular team setups, SK gaming's eurocomp (druid, priest, rogue, warlock, mage), takes on a just as popular setup, WNMF's 2345 (paladin, priest, shaman, warrior, mage).

SK Gaming, a notoriously successful and popular gaming team that competes across games of all genres, has sponsored a myriad of tournaments and been successful in just as many others; their videos allow us a first hand view to how the pros get things done and this video from SK|Neilyo's (rogue) point of view does just that.

SK vs WNMF Upper Bracket QuarterFinal SK Battlegroup 9 Tournament

First Match

The first match begins on Nagrand with SK's Neilyo blowing sprint and shadow step in hopes of getting a sap on the mage , however the mage gets off an initial ice lance to put him in combat. Although he does not successfully get the sap off, it allows him to quickly obtain a solid position which enables him to almost immediately get dps on their initial target.

Once on the priest, he begins to use his movement cool downs offensively in order to remain near the priest, allowing him to maintain constant dps. At 0:28 he uses his blind to counter the mage's sheep and at 0:32 uses will of the forsaken to get out of the priests fear, allowing him to keep working towards drawing pain suppression on the priest with the aid of his team. By staying on the priest to draw pain suppression, it stops the priest from being able to get off mana burns; both if left unattended and if he is able to use suppression on a different target.

Using the pillars to LOS (line of sight) WNMF's range, the priest still must maintain healing on himself and can not mana burn.

The priest pops pain suppression (0:52) in response to maintained dps and Neilyo's kick on the paladin (0:48). Once pain suppression is up, Neilyo stays on him until it drops while his other teammates instantly switch to begin dps on the mage.

With the mage already around 50% health, Neilyo shadow steps to him and almost instantly draws the initial ice block; which then is quickly mass dispelled. From there they continue to work over the mage, eventually drawing a BOP (blessing of protection) (1:32) and a second ice block which also gets dispelled (1:59). Once the cat-like mage is out of lives, it is just a matter of time before he falls. With the mage down, SK gaming continues to assist through the targets with another one in the win column.

Second Match

More or less a repeat in overall strategy, but with almost no mistakes and near perfect execution, the second match is comparable to being in eurocomp heaven. Neilyo and SK gaming once again start the match targeting the priest and forcing him to use his pain suppression.

They then switch to the close by mage who quickly recognizes the target change and effectively begins his own demise. Since Neilyo has not had not play defensively, he is able to use almost all his cooldowns offensively; thus helping force the paladin bubble (3:31) and allowing him to maintain continuous dps.

With the Paladin having already used his bubble and not being to LOS crowd controls due to the mage kiting all around the tomb, Dejj gets caught in a fear (4:25) to the other side of the tomb. Although the mage intelligently blinks back to him, Capstone is forced to ice block. Despite having a pretty ill ice block and getting healed up to about 50%, SK's druid makes the "rofl" good type of bear stun on the paladin that makes us all scream "OVERPOWERED" and the mage drops like a fly. With the mage down once again, the dps train similarly shifts to the priest and others - arriving at victory station just before dinner.
