After officially announcing the start of the Battle.net Season 5, Blizzard Entertainment has released some more information regarding the tournament's regional qualifiers.

The top two performers from the Season 4 Finals will be invited back for the S5 Regional Finals, where they will have a chance to compete for a spot in the S5 Global Finals.

Joining these players will be the top-six-ranked players from each region’s invitational ladder to form the final lineups that will be competing in their regional finals.

The 24 players will be competing for eight spots, two spots rewarded to the Americans and three for Europe and Asia, in the S5 Global Finals. More details on the regional qualifiers and global finals will be released at a later date.
