(GotFrag) - Only 6 teams remain in the CEVO Sennheiser TF2 Open, with two facing elimination tonight in the Lower Bracket. R3 saw ferveNt knock out a tourney-favourite in Eximius Gaming, who've had trouble of late getting some scrims in. Also making an early exit was focaL, who we can only assume lost to Gay Zombies last round (even though no score is up yet on CEVO) since GZOS are in this weeks schedule. And so, speaking of this week's lineup..




Pandemic v Sway Gaming

I think it's fair to say Sway's presence in these Upper Bracket finals is a bit of a surprise. Coming in as a bit of an unknown, destro's squad was lost behind the bigger names like Eximius & Devastation. Yet, Sway has been playing solid all tourney and have come up up big when they needed to. Undoubtedly, their "big" moment in the gravelpit match against Devastation was the first half of the 3rd round, where Dev pulled a surprise rush to B (which they cap'd) only to have Sway hold them off at A for the nearly the rest of the round. The match was pretty much a wash after that, with Sway rather easily rolling through gpit on their turn and taking the match 2-1.

On the other side of the field, the juggernaut continues to roll. While I give all the credit in the world to Xensity for making it this far, they just got pummeled last week by NA's #1 team. Pandemic seems to be firing on all cylinders, and barring any horrible accidents, Sway will soon be just another team to add to the list.

Ghosts of Darkness v ferveNt

Our Lower Bracket features two matches that really should not be happening, and both will most likely be a wash. While some of us might have preferred Experiment to be here instead of GD/UG, we can only work with what we get, so my apologies if this pred is a quick and to the point: ferveNt wins again, we enjoy more zeroskillz POVs, and we all get to enjoy a ferv-Xen match next round.

Gay Zombies From Outer Space v United Gamers

Pending the official word of last rounds GZOS-focaL match (I'm sure someone will enlighten me in the comments), I'll avoid making any "momentum" or "keep it rolling" comments until I actually know what happened. Either way, GZOS finds itself still in the tourney which, from most accounts, they entered just for fun. I don't want to say a UG win would be totally out of the realm of possibility, but.. well.. it ain't gonna happen.
