We're currently looking to pick up a full TF2 team to represent us in the TF2 competitive scene.
Some features we are looking for in a team:
- An active team in CAL and/or CEVO league(s) with the skill set needed to advance to a higher level of competition. - New teams are welcome to apply, however, all members must have some competitive experience. - The team will need to be active and dedicated to our organization. - Unsportsmanlike conduct and bad attitudes will NOT be accepted. Your team will be representing our name and any actions that tarnish our organization's name will not be tolerated. - A serious effort must be made to advertise our gaming organization. - All servers (game and Vent) will be paid for by our community. However, donations are encouraged...but not required. - The more advertising you provide to our organization, the more we will be able to offer your team.
What we provide to you:
- A dedicated server with the following specs: + Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.50 GHz + 4 GB DDR2-667 + 250GB SATAII - 7,200RPM - 32 MB Cache + Running CentOS 5 (Linux) + Located in Chicago + Able to host multiple game servers - HD Codec Vent located in Chicago - A custom website that can be tailored to suit your team - Custom e-mail addresses (yourname@thestoleneye.com) - Private FTP space for hosting screenshots, demos, and more - Full server administration - Full scheduling services - An active TF2 player base that can be used to recruit new members if needed or players to sub in matches
If you are interested, please contact Darkfoxx by sending an e-mail to (admins@thestoleneye.com)
Please include a formal proposal that should include such topics as: what you can bring to our organization, what you can do to promote our organization, documentation on previous teams/leagues/records, and how you plan to grow in the near future. Be sure to state your case thoroughly, as incomplete proposals will not be evaluated.
The way the TF2 competative community works is; one team forms with or without sponsor. They practice for a couple of weeks (or months) against some bad teams. They play their first match against a good team and get rolled. They break up. The six players are then recycled back into the TF2 competative community to start a new failteam.
It sucks-- I know.
P.S. The key to winning is sticking together. Work through the problems. Trim the fat off the team accordingly.
"- An active TF2 player base that can be used to recruit new members if needed or players to sub in matches"
i laughed. #7 speaks the truth. my last team/first broke up before we ever hit the competitive scene cause every scrim was fail and schedules didnt work. but i like your effort darkfoxx.
#1 was certainly well written. I don't think anyone will take you up on the offer, but good for you if you find some people. Just keep training your pubbers and hopefully you'll find some talent.
Keep in mind, all applicants will be considered. 6 months of experience can be equated to 1 month of experience, if the player and/or team is good enough. Don't take the requirements too seriously...
So, to any team out there: if you need a sponsor, please send an application. We'd like to get a team sponsored asap. The offer is too good to pass up, in my opinion.
Seriously guys? You wonder why the competitive tf2 community has such a hard time staying afloat? Its because when someone makes a good genuine post that actually advances teams in a positive way, you dick around and talk about how someone is the best player or give grief to the #1. If you want to have a conversation make your own damn post, and if no one listens to you when you do then think about actually saying something work reading.

It's as simple as that. I guess I shouldn't even have posted here because it seems this place is just a home to trolls.
