frequency too high

when i try to play team fortress 2 my screen goes black and it says freq too high try a different resolution anybody have any suggestions?

try a different resolution

frequency might be too high

try turning down frequency

in launch options try -refresh 60

That should let you at least launch the game. You really need to give details on what kind of monitor you have and what rez you are playing the game in.
