can only play demos from the most current version of tf2, been like this since it came out, all demos from previous versions do not work, so .. get them while they're hot?
Yeah it is annoying, every update valve comes out with an update it screws the demos up... they always fix them with another update but it usually takes a couple weeks for that.
This is ridiculous. It's been months since they said they were working on a new demo system that would fix problems like this, but we have yet to see anything while hundreds of demos get destroyed each update.

What do I need to do differently?
type in console: demoui or demoui2 then click the Load button (on the right I think) and browse for your demos.
If that doesn't work, then chances are the update ruined em
