Starcraft: ACE with some major changes

By: Lucas Bigham - Published July 02, 2008 at 1:35 PM EDT - Writer Archive
The Korean professional team Air Force ACE is in the process of acquiring three new members.
The new members that will be joining Air Force ACE is Jung Suk "Reach" Park from KTF, Doh Hyun “Silent_Control” Na from WeMade, and Yeong Jong "AnyTime[gm]" Oh from Lecaf.

These players have made the decision to leave their current teams to fulfill their mandatory military service. Once their basic training is complete in several weeks, they will be placed on the Air Force ACE roster.

Months ago, there was speculation that Air Force ACE would be closing their doors by the end of 2008. However, it appears the team is planning to compete in the next season of proleague.

The 24-year-old Park is perhaps most known for his win at SKY OnGameNet Starleague in 2002. He is a longtime member of KTF MagicNS and one of the small handfuls of veterans who have competed professionally since the beginning.

Na is recognized for representing South Korea at the World Cyber Games 2005 in Singapore.

The 21-year-old Oh will be the youngest addition to ACE. He was considered one of the innovators of the macro-oriented style of protoss.

With these recent changes, there are rumors that such players as Jin Ho "YellOw" Hong, Jae Wook "ClouD" Cha, and Jae Hwang "JiHyun" Lee are planning to follow suit.
