GotFrag staff come to the site from all over the world and a myriad of different backgrounds. But one thing they all share is a passion for gaming, and in particular, gaming as a sport. Each of our staff have dedicated their own personal time, and in some cases, their professional careers towards providing the best eSports coverage in the world. This page not only lists the staff of GotFrag, but also recognizes their contributions and efforts.
Lee Chen - President & Managing Director
As Managing Director, Lee defines the strategic direction and runs the business operations of GotFrag. Lee is a veteran of 4 startups, including Teligent and Critical Dynamics. The 21st employee at Teligent, he was responsible for growing the IT network from supporting 10 employees to over 2000 employees world-wide. Later, he founded Critical Dynamics, a boutique Internet Infrastructure consulting firm that specialized in taking "brick and mortar" companies online. He has been playing computer games since his cousin got the original Pong game hooked up to a black and white TV in 1976. At Georgetown University, Lee rediscovered gaming with the old ASCII game Empire and the classic, Balance of Power. In 1994, he played his first networked game online, the old BBS game Space Trader. A year later, he played his first LAN game, Rise of the Triad with 3 of his high school buddies on 386 computers with 16Mb of RAM. He's been hooked ever since.

Trevor "Midway" Schmidt - VP, Strategic Brand Director
As one of the oldest members of the CS community, Trevor has been a part of GotFrag.com since the beginning helping to build the sites content. From the creation of Midway's Melee to the Playbook series, Trevor has continued to push the horizon of eSports coverage. His first experiences in computer gaming was on the old Apple IIE, but really got involved later in turn-based strategies, earlier favorites included Sid Meier's Civilization. Like many others his first exposure to First-Person Shooters was the console game Goldeneye, which led to the initial beta of Counter-Strike that he has been playing ever since. Starting out in his first team, Weekend Warriors (WEW), Trevor has been a part of and worked with professional players since joining the scene. As Western Commissioner of Rumble in the Desert (RiTD), the former top league in North America, he was exposed to the league administration side of eSports, which goes with the team leadership experience he received while heading up WEW. After those experiences in 2001, Trevor started work with DominofGames helping to turn the site into the top eSports site in North America. Departing that site he then led the successful Infinite Impact (i2.), CAL-Draft team that won the first season of the experimental league. Then with the chance to start up GotFrag.com, Trevor moved over to begin content production. In 2006 Trevor took over content creation for the first ever eSports Magazine in the USA with its first issue coming in December 2006.

Scott "SirScoots" Smith - VP, Broadcasting, GotFrag TV Little known to humanity, after god created the world on the eighth day he created Scott Smith. Scott is 39 years old, a Virgo, likes the color blue, and enjoys long walks on the beach with Trevor Schmidt. His current occupation is managing onsite logistics for corporate events. Mr. Smith’s first computer was an abacus, but later upgraded to a Tandy TRS-80 and his first console was an Atari 2600. His first experience with competitive computer gaming was similar to that of early Cro-Magnon man with fire. However, Scott stayed with it and in 1999 joined and now owns UGP, one of the oldest Counter-Strike teams still competing today. He brings invaluable experience to GotFrag and the eSports scene.

Joe "Joeker" Hoffend - Director of Operations Many know Joe from his role in the well known counter-strike team RDW. Joe has been an online gamer for several years now and started playing counter-strike the first day it was released. Critikalfx, also from team RDW and Joe were following the Summer 2002 CPL coverage one day and began chatting online about how terrible it was. They then decided to start covering it through the rdw website—which later began a brainstorming session to which the idea for GotFrag emerged. He has played a role in many areas of the site which include, but are not limited to: managing sections, conceptualization of ideas and providing support. Joe graduated in 2006 with a degree in business management and marketing, and a minor in psychology from a small private college in western New York.
