We're back! GotFrag delivers the next installment of our new prediction series for all games. This time around Midway, jESUIT, SirScoots and Singlecoil get help from Bobby "Weenus" Hicks predicting CEVO Pro CS:Source Season 5, Week 3:1.
Week 3 of CEVO Pro CS:Source gets underway with the seemingly invincible Complexity sporting a loss in Week 2, throwing all of our predictors, but Scoots for a loop. Complexity and our predictors look to get back on track in Week 3. GotFrag's all new prediction series delivers what readers want; predictions, short and sweet, by the people that know the game better than anyone. eSports personalities, top players and senior GotFrag staff only! Each predictor has one sentence to predict an outcome and why.
This week GotFrag gets a little help from Bobby "Weenus" Hicks, long time former GotFrag corespondent and free lance eSports journalist. Hicks is respected and admired for his satirical columns and his knowledge of players, teams and the game.
The Core are undefeated and come into Week 3 (Inferno) looking very good, defeating 3D 10-8 and Complexity 10-5 on Russka in Week 2. Dallas enters Week 3 with a 2-1 record and a strong showing against x3o 10-3 in Week 2. These two teams split a pair of matches in the first regular season of CGS Region 1 with Venom taking one 10-8 and Core taking the other 10-8.

Venom isn't showing the online domination they have in the past. Maybe their chairs at home are less comfortable? Can't argue with 4-0, Core wins.
Devour holding down banana, nobody gets through, not even zid.
The war cry of the Core continues to strike fear - "We're the god damn mother f**king Carolina Core, lets roll!"
Three impressive wins for Core so far and now face a hungry Dallas team. I don’t think they will in this match though, Core wins.
If Carolina has Peekay playing, look for this one to go the way of the 2nd Placers.

3D look to be in the struggle of a lifetime as they are winless this season with losses to the Core 10-8 and Pandemic 10-6 in Week 2. Complexity stumbled in Week 2 with 10-5 loss to the Carolina Core for 1-1 record. These teams are former rivals from the top tier competition of Counter Strike 1.6. Since both teams have switched to CS:Source, the rivalry has been dominated by Complexity with three wins over 3D in CGS Region 1 and by Complexity sending 3D home at LANFest 2K7 with a 3rd place consolation and a 13-10 loss.

This rivalry has turned into more of a joke than anything else. If coL loses this Lake should rethink retiring.
Not the rivalry it once was, Complexity by a lot.
My magic 8-ball says that Complexity will not drop two in a row.
At least Complexity knows how to win and SHOW UP, rag-fest on 3D continues. fRod tonight is a good night to go see Cloverfield. Complexity wins!
3D.NY doesn't have a prayer this week, and I don't see a comeback anytime soon.

Eximius split two matches in Week 2 losing a close match 10-8 against Devastation and picking up a 10-5 win over newcomer Team XFX. x3o is 0-4 for the season and were trampled in Week 2; 10-3 by the Venom and 10-4 by eGe.

Rockyte and Ninespot were up and comers in 1.6. Notice the were, "up and comers", and 1.6. Find two more players x3o, Eximius wins.
rockyte finds the fire button on his mouse and x3o finally gets a win, maybe.
x3o has gotten off to a rocky start, Eximius will add an L to x3o's record.
x3o is already 0-4 and my new found boys at Eximius picked up a clutch win in their last match night. In fear of being banished off my list, they are now well back in the good graces. Eximius!!
Rematch of the zEx fallout, x3o takes this but it might get ugly.

Improved but still winless, the Mexico City Furia did manage to get 16 points scored in a 10-8 loss to TLR and a 10-8 loss to Devastation in Week 2. XFX came late to CEVO and have been summarily sent to the back of the class with an 0-3 record and 10-7, 10-5 losses to eGe and Eximius respectively in Week 2.

A loss here would really discredit that reality show ... or whatever they were doing on that bus. XFX takes it.
Let cass0 play!, it couldn't hurt, regardless XFX wins.
Furia lost both their last matches 10-8 and cassO is not starting for XFX. This one will be very close, but I am calling Furia for the win!
I’m actually going to go with Furia only because of how close the Devastation score was (10-8). Don’t make me find snow in Mexico City if you lose!!!!
The CEVO-Pro newcomers, XFX, are going to run the Furia Lottery this time.

The San Francisco Optx continue to dominate opponents in Season 5 with a 4-0 record and wins over Pandemic 10-4 and TLR 10-6 in Week 2 on Russka. Devastation is sporting a 3-1 record with wins over Eximius 10-8 and Furia 10-8 in Week 2. These two lineups have met several times over the past few years in various forms and have both been playing CS:S since its creation. Devastation upset the Optx at DigitalLife 2007 with a 16-14 first round win to push Optx to the lower bracket.

You can't beat the Optx when they can buy as many awps as they want.
The war machine that is the San Francisco Optx is too much for Sasquatch.
The franchise squad vs the taxi squad...oh the drama! OptX is on fire and will prevail in this grudge match.
Dev confuses me. They beat Dallas Venom, then they barely beat Eximius and Furia. Optx has been playing lights out since I predicted them to lose, so Devasta... OPTX WINS!
The Super charged San Fran Optx will battle this one out, Devastation may have to change their name again.

Pandemic lost one to the Optx 10-4 and won one 10-6 over the struggling 3D in Week 2 producing a 3-1 record for Season 5 so far. The Last Resort are not fairing so well with a 1-3 record, the only win over CGS whipping boys, Furia and a 10-6 loss to Optx in Week 2.

*yawn* Pandemic wins by showing up; TLR needs to look into changing their roster some more.
nickn0it and Paradox shut down The Last Resort.
This one will be close, but I am going with Pandemic to take this in overtime.
On paper Pandemic looks like the better team. Still, I think TLR has not done as poorly as most would think. Going out on a limb….TLR Wins!

Nobody gets in front of Mustang's AWP and lives to talk about it... nobody.
