Gamers, like any other athlete walk a fine line. Their future in the sport is very much up in the air and it could end just as quickly as it started. One day they could be CGS World Champs and the next they could be watching the finals from the comfort of their own home, arm-chair warrior style. The CGS has had an extremely high turnover rate in its two years of operation and I've seen a lot of dreams crushed. However, does that mean players should be able negotiate contracts or personal endorsements?
I think CGS is a fcuking gameshow and fails to try and act like a league similar to NFL etc. Its all self contained there is no real drafting, managers don't do anything apart from picking friends to join their team, so there is no need for Agents or a CGS players association or w/e

Agents are useful in professional sports because they have contacts among all of the leagues entities (teams, unions, management etc). There are no entities to establish contacts with in the CGS other than it's actual ownership, because the ownership actually owns all of the teams and contracts themselves. Therefore an Agent would be pretty much useless.
The players make crap money as it is, hiring a agent would just be a needless waste of money. Keep your skills up to par and u have nothing to worry about. I mean look at nepo and che they suck but they have a secure position on the team lol. So im sure if ur above average u can allways find a team or a friend over the years that can carry u like steno does.
when are people gunna wake up and realize that competive video gaming is never going to be a sport and will never be acknowledged as a sport....not to mention sports require athletism which is everything warden dosent have
