ive been playing since 1.5 and switched to source about 2 years ago. i much prefer it over 1.6 now however one thing that REALLY pisses me off is when i get headshotted from medium to long range by someone who is running while they get the headshot. happens far to much. for example im sittin on stairs in lower on dust2. someone comes in from the tside tunnel running and just headshots me while moving like its nothing. i love source but giving noobs accuracy when they are moving is kinda gay
The only thing we were promised was dishonest careers
Yeah having to sit still to get a headshot requires a lot more skill than doing it while moving! Such a terrible newb game bleh, you don't even have to crouch in a corner to get that headshot you wanted, you can do it while moving, waaay to easy!
Yes that was sarcasm for all you oblivious retards.
#8 do you have fcking downs? obviously its harder to stop smoothly and shoot (this has to be timed for your first bullets to be accurate), than to shoot accurately while moving. IE its easier to hit a moving target while moving then standing still.
#1 I agree with you, I think the running accuracy is the worst thing Valve did when making CS:S. If it were consistent (like Quake) it wouldn't be so bad, but its just too random.
Even though I forgave the huge hitboxes, the lack of wallbanging, the easier gun control, the slower walk speed, the stupidly high HEnade damage, the stupidly overpowered flashbang effect, the lack of quickscoping, the removal of bullet sparks, the poor sound directionality, the head hitbox 70% larger, the enemies on radar, the slower run speed, the ever increasing system requirements (theres lots more - I could go on and on (and those are facts, not opinion)) -
Even though I forgave ALL those "dumb down" things - the one thing I cannot forgive is the running accuracy - thats the one thing which is just adds too much randomness. Having such a random high running accuracy removes so much of the tactical aspect of the game - and turns it into a run and spray noob fest.
thats just the thing when ppl say if u hate it why dont u do it. because it doesnt work all the time like stopping and shooting does, there for i wudnt bother waste my time trying to shoot someone while strafing, unless its in a real close proximity.

#13 unfortunatly this is the real world and it doesnt work like that. Hence another reason why sauce is so flawed and a bad game, because its suppose to be "more realistic" that was the direction they were going for right? after all they made the smokes and flashes more realistic right?
#11 The way people move and shoot, and still get frags are a lot different from 1.6 and source. Just look at the AK. It's a lot easier to run around and kill in source than in 1.6. Nothing against the game.
just because the game mechanics are more lenient doesnt mean the game itself is easier. as you are playing only against human opponents, the games difficulty is directly influenced by the players you are playing against, and has little connotation to ideas such as gun mechanics, latency, registration and model size. These should be seen more as factors to the style of play, and not as items that negatively affect the level of skill needed to "be the best." Indeed quake is thought of as a highly skilled solo FPS game, and the players are actually considered skilled for their ability to move and shoot at the same time.... And again I feel this is more of an influencing factor than a cause of the skill itself. The mechanics of the game dictate how it should be played, NOT how hard the game is.
i like source but..
just run and spray and ace kids.. 5 bullets 5 headshots
Yes that was sarcasm for all you oblivious retards.
lol
brb informing the army about it, these idiots dont know it's easy to shoot accurately while moving

/facepalm
All other source players copy the above line and post it, just do it, you'll feel great.
better stick to videogames
