Sucks. Would like to know how he died.

Jaromir Jagr ran into him while skating knocking him unconscious before this happened, i would guess that has something to do with it.

from what ive heard jagr and chere accidentally collided and jagr's elbow hit his chest... on the way back to the bench chere collapsed. the ambulance at the rink had to be called back because it left for whatever reason so it took 15-20mins for him to get proper medical attention... also jagr was supposedly crying and yelling "wake up alexei"... its ironic b/c jagr was chere's hero and was helping him get better for when he came to the rangers :(
