Sixteen of twenty-six have advanced from group play into the double elimination bracket.
While it is unfortunate that Nexus Gaming is no longer around to defend their NERV Championship title, the best of the best have all made the trip to Allentown, Pennsylvania for their shot at the top prize. Evil Geniuses, Pandemic, MoBgaming and x3o were all in top form throughout the group stage and look to continue their winning ways in the elimination bracket. Despite losing a player the day before LAN, FocaL have managed to stay afloat and win their first playoff match in a big come from behind victory over Iconic before falling 13-6 to EG in round 2. MoBdeep, RoM, Sinister, and others have been impressive as well so far this weekend and the competition is guaranteed to heat up as fewer and fewer teams manage to avoid elimination. The tournament has been managed efficiently to this point and things are only slightly behind schedule. Games are expected to continue tonight through 1:00 or 2:00am and will pick back up on Sunday morning at 8:00am.
