Call Of Duty: CB announce EuroCup prizes

By: Liam Crowley - Published March 03, 2008 at 9:09 PM EST - Writer Archive
ClanBase have announced a €1,650 prize pot for this season's EuroCup but no LAN finals.
In a marked decrease from previous seasons, ClanBase will be offering only €1,000 to the winner of this season's Call of Duty 4 EuroCup. This is in part due to their decision to offer a cash prize for all ten EuroCups but, coupled with no sign of LAN finals, could lead to a lack of interest from Europe's top teams this time around.

The EuroCup has previously drawn the best of the best and represented the premier online competition in both Call of Duty 1 and 2. Past winners include riZe, Speedlink, Check-Six, Dignitas and Tek-9 and the EuroCup has often been a measure of a team's success in the Call of Duty series.

Speedlink and eSuba are among the teams to have signed up for this season's EuroCup so hope does remain for another competitive offering. Teams wishing to register should head to the signup page for further details.

EuroCup XVII CoD4 Prize Pot

• 1st Place - €1,000
• 2nd Place - €400
• 3rd Place - €250

Note: All cash prizes are to be paid out in GameStop vouchers, which can be exchanged for video game related products on gamestop.eu.
