I know Promod is all about bullet registration but i find myself getting terrible bullet registration.
I'm playing on a Chicago based server (live in Jersey) with usually around 40 ping with a good config, but some shots don't seem to be connecting when they obviously should.
This might have something to do with the anti-lag being off, or it might just be all in my head.
Anyone else get the same feeling?
Also i get an error: Impure Client Detected. Invalid .IWD files referenced
This occurs whenever the map switches, i will play an entire round and when it comes time to switch maps (or just restart the same map) i get that error. Happened twice now today on the updated version i believe.
-----------------------------------------... Edit: Found out why the Impure client detected error occurred. Just needed to delete my mod folder and re download Promod.
Whoever set up your server did it wrong if your getting impure client
As for antilag, its on, its possibly less effective with sv_fps 30, but overall registration is far better with it
Two things to bear in mind 1) Get used to playing with it over a week. Hitboxes will be slightly different now, but for the better and more accurate 2) Sometimes everyone can have a bad game no matter how good the engine. It could also depend on your opponent.
Give it a few days to a week and see how it plays, then get back
rafp, wudnt it be a good idea to remove stopping power? you need to aim longer on the enemy, means you need better aiming, i just think you die way too fast.
#8, that has to be ironic hehe, i mean - lets take cs 1.6. 1. You need way more bullets to kill someone, which requieres much more skill. 2. The nades arent that strong, well, lets keep the strong nades in cod4, cuz its kinda part of it, but dont you miss the tricknades? i mean, nowdays, its just random, cooknades are uber random, i dno why nobody removed them. In cod2 i wasnt even worried, cuz i knew its going to be removed anyway.
about stopping power: You cant say hes not right, because you die very fast, its like some guy said in the past "first see first kill" aka random.

On-topic: Your all talking about petty things GET A GRIP. moaning about that fact u cant shoot things off a wall? cmon. As far as im aware he removed all things like that and it increases FPS (AFAIK)
Keep up the great work! Will you remove the rank bar? (buttom of the screen), it's pretty useless imo.
Not sure if this have been sorted, but when you defuse the bomb and the round is over you can still be killed by your teammates or an opponent until next round starts, which is kinda annoying.
#15,19: Promod forces the client to use "r_fog 0", so nothing in your config. You need to add "pb_sv_cvar "r_fog" IN 0 1 " in the server pb config.
raf, maybe have another closed beta so top teams can try scrimming without stopping power. I don't ever remember scrimming without it. If regen appears to be a HUGE issue then is it possible to make it stepped regen, like can only regen segments (Gears? dont know what game).
We just did scrimmage vs some randoms. And we noticed that they had load the map using "devmap". Is that something you can implentent like a warning or notices that server cheats is enabled? I hate to found out that teams using this way to win.
I requested this to Worm for the PAM4 mod, but didn't get that much response. However I think it would be a good addition if it not too hard too do.
edit: When in strat mode; You are able to swith class and get the new loadout without get "You will respawn with your next class bla bla" as many times as u want, BUT if use your grenade or fire some rounds you have kill to yourself in order the get the new loadout. :)
the AU league had stopping power off and maxhealth 80 before converting to the EU ruleset, and it was pretty terrible, at range you would find you often need an extra bullet than you should because of the decrease in damage over distance, scrimming with 100 health and no stopping power would be unplayable because of regen.
Stopping Power + 100 Health has a 6% damage increase over 80 health / no stopping power which is actually way more consistent.
One change that the promod devs have made is less damage to limbs on the SMG class .... why not test this for other classes as well

Its for shooting pictures from the wall and smashing melons and so on.
Everytime i connect a promod server, this command is set to 0. Well i could make my cfg writeprotected, but i dont want to ^^
... with the regen the way it is in CoD...you'd be forever trying to kill someone.

Wouldn't it else be a regen fest.. (and hardcore mode thats dieing fast)
