Hi guys. I'm new, and it is my first post. I have read this forum all time, and a lot of things i knew from you. But now i've got problem. Maybe it isn't very seriously. So, when i first time see luckeR fragmovie i was in shocked. He's some kind of superstar, and i thought that i need hes cfg. Really? I'm cfg freak. I searched in a lot of website and nothing. Some noobish configs with optimal settings. If you have he's cfg, can you share it here? Please.
I'm playing cod4 since january, and ... i'm not a noob. I have played at lot of configs, and i got some knowledge about it. I played at s.scot's cfg, yitch2,3 configs. But for me, it isn't rox. I don't have to low pc to get high fps config files. My pc: - motherboard: asus p5k se - processor: intel quadcore q6600 2,4 Ghz - ram: 2gb dual-channel - hdd: sata2 500gb ( it doesn't matter) - graphic card: palit xpertvision geforce 8600 gts 512mb ddr3 also, i have mouse razer diamondback 3g, with mousepad icemat 2nd edition. i ain't playin with cpl mousefix. maybe you will let some advice for me :))
ps. ohh, and i've got monitor lcd 19' samsung syncmaster 920n.
well ofc a config can make difference but its just worthless to go through millions of different top player configs which are all almost identical by the key features. it gets even funnier when people browse through all those configs searching for better hitreg when theres only like 3-5 commands which REALLY do affect the hitreg.
my advice to #1 is to just pick some config which with he gets stable and good fps (yitch ones?) and stick to it.
I need some commands for my config either. I've got a 9800GTX, so fps isn't really my problem. I'm a sniper, so I want to see all enemy's clearly. I saw at bashandslash the dko5_mp config, where the enemy's become just a black shadow. Could you do this that e.g. the enemy's become acid-green?? They're easier to see then :P Or are there other tweaks to see you're enemy better?? And what are helpfull commands for sniping (I've got cg_fov 80)??
BTW, when I snipe at crossfire from offensive spawn to defensive spawn, on some spots I get blinded by the sun and I can't see anything... Is the only way to fix this problem to put down your brightness??
vannity, if you want a good config that uses high settings i recommend MoB-BadFish's or Pandemic-Prank's config.
and ERev > yitch2 and 3 combined. Yitch3 is crap because it messes with the vid_xpos and vid_ypos settings which will totally f*** up your aim in the long run.
idk, this is just my opinion, but if your not able to get 125 constant on any yitch config (like me) then why bother trying. I just use Curiou$G's config and cap it at 100 and i still get same reg. Just camp at some constant fps # and make sure you can see the rest will come.

if you get 200 fps constant i recomend 100 max packets
how about graphic settings? high/med/low?
what resolution?
use cpl mousefix?

Resolution/Sensitivity/CPL Mouse Fix - is all personal preference.
Most of cod4 community play on 65 or 80..

It was a bug with nvidia cards but they fixed it in the latest nvidia drivers.
